Yamuna® is appropriate for everyone.

Yamuna® Body Rolling is movement education that empowers you to heal your own injuries and chronic pain. It teaches you to identify and replace movement patterns that no longer serve you. These patterns can be caused by tension, stress, injury, or something else.
YBR® is appropriate for all physical ability levels. If you’re active, it informs your existing practice and allows you to take it to a deeper level. If you’re sedentary or have a disability, you’ll find that it's a powerful tool to maintain resiliency and vitality in your body. An excellent resource to prevent and rehabilitate injury, Yamuna® allows you to age sustainably, so you can do what you love in every decade of your life.

How do you do it?

By learning specific routines with specially-designed balls, YBR® teaches you how to align your bones and massage your muscles and fascia. The ball acts as a hands-on practitioner, dislodging tension, restoring range of motion, increasing flexibility, and improving organ and system function.

Where did it come from?

YBR® is one facet of a broader body of work called Yamuna® Body Sustainability, created by Yamuna Zake, a yogi, educator, visionary, and my teacher, based in New York City. She describes her work this way: "It empowers you to 'work on yourself' for maintenance, healing, and prevention, anytime, anywhere - FOREVER."
